Job Description

Financial Reporting Analyst

Location New York, New York, United States

What part will you play at Standard?

* Standard Industries is seeking a motivated individual with an audit background looking to contribute to a high impact team
* This person will play an integral role in supporting a growing accounting and financial reporting function in a global corporate center

What will you be doing?

* Compiling and preparing support materials for the quarterly and annual external financial reports, including any offering memorandums, in accordance with US GAAP
* Assisting in technical accounting research and preparation of associated memorandums and global accounting policies under both GAAP and IFRS
* Supporting the implementation of new accounting standards under GAAP and IFRS
* Preparing audit support required for Standard Industries and its corporate entities
* Preparing journal entries and reconciliations associated with the day-to-day accounting function of the corporate entities
* Performing the necessary journal entries required to perform the monthly global multi-currency consolidation
* Calculating and preparing the Standard intercompany management fees and costs recharge invoices
* Reconciling global intercompany accounts and determining amounts to be settled to/from at the reconciliation date
* Responsibility for processing invoices for the Standard Industries team, ensuring payments to external vendors are processed in a consistent and timely manner

What do we require from you?

* 3 years of experience in an audit role, Big 4 preferred
* Analytically focused and intellectually curious, problem solver
* Ability to work both independently and with diverse, collaborative teams
* Hands-on, motivated ambitious individual looking to learn and grow
* Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
